Project Overview
Located in Northamptonshire, this completed residential project delivers a series of carefully integrated extensions to an existing family home, enhancing both spatial capacity and architectural coherence. The scheme comprises a double-storey side extension, a double-storey rear addition, and a further single-storey projection, alongside a detached outhouse and an outdoor swimming pool to support contemporary family living and leisure.
Delivered through RIBA Stages 4 to 6, the project reflects a rigorous technical and detailing-led approach, ensuring continuity between old and new fabric. The architecture is defined by natural stone elevations, steeply pitched gables, and traditionally proportioned openings, reinforcing a timeless domestic character while accommodating modern internal layouts.
Large-format glazing and garden-facing rooms strengthen the relationship between interior spaces and the landscape, with the rear extensions forming a layered transition between the house and outdoor amenities. The completed works result in a cohesive, high-quality residence that balances contextual sensitivity with refined architectural presence.
